A friction test needs a known normal direction and synchronized tangential and normal-force signals. An Fx/Fz biaxial arrangement can support an aligned test; an Fx/Fy arrangement instead measures planar force. Define the test frame rather than inferring the measurement from the term biaxial.
A tire or bearing test can involve a changing three-dimensional load vector and significant moments from the contact offset. Review combined loads, fixture stiffness, temperature and the load spectrum. A force-only sensor still needs adequate mechanical moment limits.
Shift-lever sensing is a separate interface problem. The requested MXL-2D-GS path needs lever geometry, the loading point, travel, orientation and cross-load acceptance. A generic beam or flange reference is insufficient to establish a compatible lever fixture.
