Supplier-derived AI architecture reference; configuration dimensions and MXL model identity require an approved drawing.
Compare the same deliverables
Six line items make the total meaningful.
A six axis load cell price is only comparable when the six-component range and system boundary match. Ask for sensor-only and complete-package subtotals, identify one-time engineering work, and keep optional items separate.
Procurement checklist for a configuration-specific offer. No MXL sensor list price or availability is implied.

What to identify
Question to resolve
Sensor & mechanical package
Model, all six ranges, combined-load envelope, mounting plates and drawing revision
Does the line include both interface plates and any adapter?
Cables & connectors
Cable length, connector part numbers, pinout, strain relief and extension limits
Are the sensor cable, interface cable and mating connectors separate items?
Acquisition & power
Raw-channel count, excitation, synchronous sampling, digitizer, supply and output interface
Is engineering-unit conversion included, and where is the matrix applied?
Calibration & matrix
Serial-specific calibration, units, origin, matrix revision and acceptance criteria
Is recalibration, temperature testing or external accreditation included or separately quoted?
Software & controller
OS, driver/API revision, example code, license, bus profile and supported controller
Does the offer include only sample software, or validated support for your controller?

System cost
Raw sensor channels need a complete conversion path.
A matrix-coupled six-axis sensor does not necessarily provide one raw channel per measured component. The package needs a suitable acquisition path, a matching calibration matrix and the agreed engineering units.
ATI’s DAQ manual explains serial-specific matrix conversion and states that raw strain channels are not in one-to-one correspondence with Fx, Fy, Fz and moments. Its calibration-file service requests a sensor serial number or sales order. These are third-party integration references, not MXL calibration evidence.

MXL electronics budget request
Keep the sensor and the electronics amounts separate.
MXL-BOX6-ECAT option
Website budget request: +$580
This amount is the existing six-channel electronics option in the MXL inquiry form. It is not a six-axis sensor price or a binding package offer. Request confirmation of the hardware, matrix processing, supported output, software, license and delivery scope.
A miniature low-force package, an industrial wrist sensor and a heavy test sensor are separate quotation cases. Send Fx/Fy/Fz, Mx/My/Mz, simultaneous peaks, mounting constraints and annual quantity.
The final written offer controls price, included calibration, software, availability and delivery. Reuse, origin, compliance documentation and ongoing support should be confirmed for the exact configuration.
Before comparing totals
Ask for an acceptance plan with the quote.
Measurement: identify rated and simultaneous loads, coordinate origin, matrix units, crosstalk test method and required noise at your chosen filter setting.
Integration: name the connector and bus profile, power source, controller, acquisition rate and permissible end-to-end delay.
Evidence: request a configuration drawing, applicable calibration record, matrix file and software revision. Public MXL review worksheets are planning aids; approved product evidence is supplied through review.
Commercial: distinguish unit price from one-time tooling, fixtures, calibration service, freight and destination charges. Compare quotations with the same quantity and trade term.
For example, a lower sensor-only amount may leave you to purchase a digitizer and implement matrix processing. An integrated digital offer may include those items but still require a controller license or custom adapter. Compare deliverables before calculating a saving.
What is the MXL six-axis force/torque sensor price?
MXL sensor pricing is provided by configuration-specific quotation. State all six force and moment ranges, quantity, mechanical envelope and output interface so the sensor, electronics and integration scope can be priced together.
Does a six-axis sensor price include the digitizer?
The quotation must identify this explicitly. A sensor-only line, a sensor with analog conditioning and a calibrated digital package have different deliverables. Request separate line items and a named interface.
Is the +$580 six-channel electronics amount a complete sensor price?
No. It is a website budget request for the MXL-BOX6-ECAT electronics option. It is not the sensor price or a binding package quotation; hardware, matrix processing, software, controller support and delivery need written confirmation.
Can I reuse my amplifier to reduce the total cost?
Ask for a bridge-by-bridge electrical review and a compatible calibration-matrix processing path. Reuse depends on excitation, input range, channel timing, wiring and software. Connector fit alone does not establish compatibility.
The form opens with the MXL-6D45 configuration and commercial, drawing, calibration, matrix and software requests selected. Change the model and quantities to match your project.
